Campaign Objectives
Endowment
The $9 million objective for endowment is divided into two components: student financial aid and faculty/staff salaries. Achieving this goal will keep tuition predictable, ensure the geographic and socio-economic diversity of our student body, and help retain highly qualified educators.
Technology
A $3 million fund for technology innovation will be used for a variety of improvements of the classroom experience of students and teachers.
chapel
We will preserve our historic chapel – the heart of Duchesne Academy. This work will ensure the chapel is ready for new generations of students.
student life Center
The new Student Life Center will address a critical need for space at Duchesne. The 46,000 sq. ft. two-story addition to the campus will add a cafeteria, commercial-grade kitchen, and a new gymnasium.
gym
75% of Duchesne’s students are athletes. A modern, large-capacity gymnasium will serve the needs of our programs while providing ample, comfortable accommodations for parents, friends, and fans.
auditorium
This venue for performances and other events will become a state-of-the-art theater. Audiences will enjoy expanded and improved seating while performers and crew will benefit from upgrades to the stage, backstage area, seating, and other performance spaces.
the link
This exciting new feature will serve as a physical and metaphorical connection of the historic campus and the new Student Life Center. The two-story Link will provide a climate-controlled setting for students to enjoy the daylight and seasonal atmosphere as they spend time studying or chatting between classes.
Cafeteria & Kitchen
Of special importance is a cafeteria that will allow students to eat lunch together. Our current facilities are so small that meals are prepared and assembled in three different kitchens on campus. Serving this new dining space will a large, commercial-grade kitchen.
